A little stressed

January 2, 2008

Today, I am having a “bump” removed from the side of my breast. I know it’s nothing. It won’t turn out to be anything, but still, the whole thing is making me nervous.  I’m not excited about the pain or the recovery or the wait to hear that it is all fine.

Here’s to a new year!

December 31, 2007

It’s time to get back to blogging. I am really going to make a concerted effort to blog away my days in ‘08. I have not been keeping up with it and yet the strange thing is, I write posts in my head almost every day. So now it’s just about getting it all down in my idiary!! So, here’s goodbye to 2007. I’ll leave it with the year in pictures.

In January we got to meet up with a friend from out of state and have a baby shower for my sister:

In February, my middle boy turned 7! How could that happen?

Then in March, my baby girl turned 4! It’s almost too much!

In April, my nephew was born! My oldest turned 10! (not sure where the pics are for that) and the boys ran a 5K with their dad:

May brought tubes for B7’s ear and it was kinda tough on Mom! and, my birthday spent at one of my favorite places!!:

June was Happy Father’s Day to my hubby and then off to visit a great friend in the Niagara Falls area! what a great time!

Then came 4th of July, tons of soccer, exploring a near by Japanese garden and the boys’ first ride on a roller coaster!

August brought more soccer, a good friend back visiting, the kids and the exotic birds, B7 learns to ride a two wheeler and I danced in the rain!

September is, of course, Back to School and if you live at our house, Apple Picking!

Not much going on in October, although, I did get a great new phone!!

November is the hubby’s birthday and spending some time in IL with the relatives and my new hair cut!!

December is all things Christmas and snow!

Here’s to looking forward to all that’s coming in 2008.

Interesting…

November 20, 2007

In the last 2 days I have told my story of how I grew up to 3 different people.

I have gone months, even years without talking about it or thinking about it. Not that it’s anything horrible, it’s just so long ago.

anyway, now that’s got me thinking.

Three kids, three ages, three personalities. Love them all so much!

Lil Diva, still wants to hold my hand

B7, still lets me hold his hand

B10, so independent, always has been, so we hold hands in our hearts

Overheard

November 13, 2007

while riding in the car tonight:

B7 ~ “I drank pop when I was one”

B10 ~ “you did not, Mom wouldn’t let us drink pop when we were one”

B7 ~ “well, I did”

me ~ “actually, no you didn’t”

B7 ~ “well then my twin did”

B10 ~ “B7, let’s keep our imaginary friends away from our real ones”

I had to laugh!

There are days…

October 27, 2007

…when I hate Saturdays. I know it’s supposed to be fun and exciting because you don’t have to get up and go to work. The thing is, though, is that Saturday is about the only day I have to get things done. So instead of out doing some thing fun and exciting, I spend the day doing load after load of laundry, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, cooking meals, cleaning up from those meals, scrubbing toilets, grocery shopping, finding a place for said groceries….

yeah, it sucks.

LOL!!!!

October 26, 2007

I so needed a laugh at work! I have had so many bad days and just unpleasantness the last few days, it’s been unbelievable!! I get off work at 12:30, so at 12:19, I was telling people, “just 11 minutes until my weekend starts!” yes, very excited about that.

Just about ready to leave and one of the teachers walking down the hall says to me, “here’s some candy for the parties.” and hands me two plastic store bags.  (we are having parents send in Halloween candies to use in the classrooms for the Halloween parties) She hands me the bags and goes into the lounge for her lunch.

I am a nosy person, so I decide I have to look and see what kind of candy these parents bought and sent in.  I check out the Target bag first.

Inside is two big bags of Tootsie Pops.  Also a box of these!!

The parent must have been doing some shopping at Target and did not remove her personal items!! I took the bag back into the teachers’ lounge, laughing hysterically to show to the teacher!!

She about died when she saw what was in there!! She said “I can’t send these back!! I’d be to worried she’ll be embarrassed!” I would have to agree, if it was me, I would want it to never be brought up and have everyone act like it just never happened! but one of the other teachers said, “you have to send it back, those are expensive!!”.

She can’t do it though, she’s going to hide them in her desk for a few days and see if anyone asks for them!!

Can you imagine the horror when this mom realized she sent her box of condoms to the school!!
