…when I hate Saturdays. I know it’s supposed to be fun and exciting because you don’t have to get up and go to work. The thing is, though, is that Saturday is about the only day I have to get things done. So instead of out doing some thing fun and exciting, I spend the day doing load after load of laundry, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, cooking meals, cleaning up from those meals, scrubbing toilets, grocery shopping, finding a place for said groceries….
yeah, it sucks.
I have a new friend. It’s very exciting for me. For a bunch of reasons, but I won’t bore you with them here. You’d want to be making money if you had to listen to all that.
Let’s just say that it’s time. I needed a new friend. I mean, I have friends. good friends. but you know how life goes, it’s like a tide, sometimes it goes out and sweeps your friends away from you as they are so busy with their lives.
But this time, the tide is bringing in a friend and I’m very happy. It’s like she actually wants to spend time with me. I try not to seem too desperate, like, yeah, let’s spend today, tomorrow and the next day together, so I try to be casual. I just sort of throw things out there, like, “wanna come for dinner some time?” and she’ll say, “yes, how about next Tuesday!”
It’s fun. and, the weird thing is, she has the exact same model house I do, so we can discuss floor plans and decorating ideas and I know what her house looks like and I’ve never been in it. I know, it’s the small things!
So, I have this new cute little accessory!!
I soooo love it!!

For some reason, it makes me want to memorize and sing it to my family!!
So, the fire alarm went off at the school today. That’s not so strange, I mean, they plan these things so that the kids know what to do in case of a real fire. The thing about today was, it looked like this out there:
So, we knew it was no drill. It was actually the real deal either, though. For some reason, the sensors were picking up dust in the air ducts and did not like it. So, the alarms went off.
Once was bad enough. Everyone got drenched, it was miserable. But, then it was over and we were getting on with our day. Then, it went off again. So, out we go again. Not raining as bad this time, but it didn’t matter, everyone was still cold and wet from the first time.
I left at 12:45 and when I went back to pick up the kids, I found out the fire alarm had sounded a third time. I don’t know if it was the best idea or not, but they did not make the kids go out that time. I’m glad they didn’t, I’m not sure how much more they could have taken, but I also think it’s important to take each one seriously.
Well, I just hope it’s fixed before tomorrow!
and I’m not ready!! Usually, I can not wait for the new shows to start.
*Let’s just be honest, shall we; I’m a TV junkie. I’d say the truth hurts, but it doesn’t in this case!*
I am trying to catch up on my shows from previous years before this season starts. The problem is that I did not start these shows when they premiered in the first place.
Blockbuster sends me Lost, which I watch as often as possible, usually 2 discs at a time. Once I take them back to the store, I exchange them for Grey’s Anatomy and then watch that as often as possible. My goal is to get through all the Grey’s discs before the next season starts. The problem is that I am only on season 2 and season 4 starts in 10 days.
I believe in making personal goals. I’ve made this one for myself

Got the walls painted! I can’t tell you how much I love it! it makes the room feel so cozy! and it makes my heart so happy! now, all the furniture is back in place and the computer is once again plugged in!
I did manage to screw up my back pretty bad. I have been in severe pain for the last 2 weeks. Finally broke down and went to urgent care today. No pinched nerve and no muscle spasms, but definitely inflamed muscles. He gave me some anti inflammatory. Not sure exactly what it is, but it’s also used to stop early labor. I’m just hoping it helps, and soon!
I’ve always loved roller coasters. the ups, the downs, the spins, the suspense, the wind in your face, the screaming out loud. I always thought it was so awesome!
Now, I’m not so sure. I think because I’m getting older. More nerves, less nerves? Not sure. but it’s not as thrilling. now, it just gets a bit old and I have to think to myself, “when is this ride over?”
It’s the same with the roller coaster of emotions I’ve been experiencing lately. It’s just too much, too many ups and downs, without enough time spent up, too many twists i didn’t see coming. Too much screaming out loud.
Well, you get the picture.
why indeed! that’s been my philosophy on a lot of things. Unfortunately, tomorrow has come. That sucks. I have been PTA treasurer this past school year and while I have paid all the bills and deposited all the money, I have not kept up with the books very well.
Guess what tomorrow is? the day of reckoning! I have a report to give and recommendations for this school year’s budget. So, tonight, it’s do or die!
